MBL alginate samples now available

MBL reaches a key milestone in its development, with the release of first alginate samples for customer evaluation produced in its Ayr based pilot plant. It has been running its pilot plant since early 2013, and initial emphasis was on construction and commissioning, and also ensuring that the technologies at different process stages were performing to expectations. Once this was done, our attention shifted from not just producing alginate but alginate fit for customers. Sampling will be an on-going learning process for MBL and no doubt there will be many product tweaks in the months ahead based on comments and feedback from potential customers.
